Transportation from Larnaca or Paphos airport

The University of Cyprus is located in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. It is approximately 50 km from Larnaca Airport and 130 km from Paphos Airport, both served by Hermes Airports.

• Kapnos Airport Shuttle provides daily transportation between Larnaca or Paphos airports and the Kapnos Shuttle station in Nicosia. Buses run almost every hour, with an approximate travel time of 40 minutes. Timetable and more information.
• Taxis are available 24/7 at both airports. From Larnaca Airport to Nicosia, the fare is approximately €50-€60, depending on time of day and destination. From Paphos Airport to Nicosia, the fare is approximately €90-€100.

Getting to the University of Cyprus New Campus

The New Campus is located in Aglantzia, about 10-15 minutes by car from Nicosia city center. Walking from the city center is not recommended, as it is a long walk of approximately one hour and some areas do not have proper pedestrian infrastructure.

• By public transport, take one of bus routes 33, 39, 41, 43, 44, 46, or 48. Bus lines 33 and 42 serve the New Campus directly.
• Buses run approximately every 20 minutes on weekdays. Travel time is about 20-35 minutes, depending on traffic.

Taxis within Nicosia

Taxis are widely available within Nicosia. A taxi ride from the city center or Old Town to the University costs around €12 and takes approximately 15-20 minutes, or up to 30 minutes during rush hour. There are few taxi stands in Nicosia, so pre-booking by phone is recommended.
